Allow uploading an SVG or setting an image for an application (that will show on that app section) – so it’s easy to differentiate.

As a quickfix I could also calculate a hash from the app name or id and use it as a background color.
Or some app settings that let you set the color 
Yes, but where to show it. In my opinion it only makes sense when you also use it inside the app.
