I wonder if it’s possible to expose tinymce init options which could give us ability to control rich text editor’s behiavor and plugins rather than creating full custom editor?

No, it is not possible, I would rather not make such a strong coupling to an editor.

Sorry, this feature will not be implemented, but if you want to contribute you can write a custom editor using tinymce and I will add it to the custom editor list.
